We are full time Vermont residents. We fell in love with the state after our first visit. After being drawn back a few more times we decided to move here full time. Idgie and Noble Jones, our two Old English Bulldogs love it here too. After purchasing Creekside Camp, we renovated the house and made it our home for a year while we built our current home.

Creekside Camp is a historic home set on the bank of a flowing stream. The 1,300 square foot home, originally a hunting camp, dates back to the late nineteenth century. The camp was a filling station that was moved from the town of East Rupert to its current location. This section is now the kitchen. The living room is a reconstructed timber frame barn. The barn was formerly located in the town of Dorset. The dining area and the master bedroom were added in the 1990s. Creekside Camp maintains its historic charm but has been upgraded to include all modern amenities.

Creekside Camp is located approximately a half mile up Rogers Road. The road is a no outlet road with only three residences beyond the camp. Creekside Camp is nestled between the road and the stream. There is parking for two cars.

The home includes completely renovated gourmet kitchen and bohemian style bathrooms. The exposed posts and beams along with the wood burning stove makes this home absolutely Vermont. The home is situated near the road but the road is a no outlet road with only three residences beyond. Fine dining is only 2.5 miles away in Dorset. Designers outlets and locally owned shops and restaurants are less than nine miles away. Hike and explore Merck Forest and Farmland just minutes away or ski Bromley Mountain, (15 miles), and Stratton Mountain, (24 miles).

The master bedroom offers the king size bed, a sitting area, a large smart tv, and a private bathroom with a bathtub. Multiple windows and skylights provide daylight and views alongside the stream. Blue herons have been spotted fishing outside the window. The queen size bed is located in the semi-private loft. The view from this bedroom is of the hot tub and the stream. The second bathroom is located in the loft and has a large shower and heated tile floor.

The stone fireplace is the focal point of the living room. The comfortable leather furniture makes this a great place to warm by the fire, read, or watch the smart tv. There is a dining table or a live edge wood peninsula to eat at or play one of the games provided. The kitchen was recently redesigned for people who love to cook. Cooking in the equipped kitchen, preparing a drink at the bar area, grilling on the gas Weber grill, and eating al fresco creekside is almost the perfect end to a day of exploring Vermont. It would be the end but the best is yet to come. After a day of skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer be sure not to miss out on enjoying a fire outside in the firepit and a soak in the hot tub. A long relaxing soak in the hot tub mere feet from the stream all the while scanning the trees to spot "Doug", our resident owl. Now that is the perfect ending. Welcome to Creekside Camp.

Note: We DO NOT offer this home on Craigslist.
